Smartphone Addiction

A survey in Britain has revealed that smartphone users prefer to use their devices on browsing the net, social networking, listening to music and playing games instead of actually making calls. Smartphones have played the role of alarms, watches, cameras, diaries, newspapers, MP3 players, photo albums, radios, TVs, GPSs, torches and even books. A survey on iPhone and Samsung Galaxy users showed that more than half of them use their devices as alarms, 39% have stopped having a separate camera and 46% no longer wear a watch. Smartphones now play a far greater role than making calls and SMS.

Smartphones has successfully stolen people from their life activities. People keep their smartphones near them from the moment they wake up until the moment they go to bed. Surprisingly, people aren't addicted to smartphones themselves as much as they are addicted to "checking habits" of repeatedly and quickly checking for news updates, emails, or social media connections. Human beings have a deep strong desire to know everything that's going on around them, the need to know any new bit of information. In order to fix this problem, the key is maintaining balance by being strong in facing these temptations and being discipline in not using the device in certain situations such as driving.

So, use your smartphone smartly and gain your life back!
